January 28, 2020 I DID IT!!!! My first two baptisms! oh my this is why i went on a mission. Seeing Ariadna and Maia be baptized and the smiles on their faces was the coolest experience ever. It was a little stressful planning the baptism and getting in contact with them because they don’t have a phone but everything went well! We found a house! So this week we spent the entire week finding a house and we finally found one! it’s really big but it’s the only house we could find so woot woot lots of space. The mission office said that we would move in at the end of this week and that we are staying in Linares but that was all a fat lie. Linares is being whitewashed AGAIN. We just got here and all our hard work is out the window. My companion is being a capa in parral and I’m headed to Anadlien. I think that’s how you spell it. I don’t actually know where I’m going. January 20, 2020 Ok so in the middle of the night I woke up to use the bathroom and when I turned on the lights the entire bathroom was filled with ants! they were crawling out of the drains and the tiles and they were all over the light switch! I had a literally heart attack at 3 am. I was like I don't have time for this. This ain’t my problem so I just went back to bed. In the morning Hermana Arnold went to the bathroom and screamed and I just laid in my bed... I’m terrible... Our mission president said that Hermana Fazakerley and I need to find a house by the end of the transfer which gives us 6 days. we have been looking for a house the entire cambio so rip. We have all the elders in our district looking, the mission office, our entire branch, and actually realtors looking and no one can find anything. rip Ariatna and Maya are getting baptized on Sunday. January 13, 2020 welp... for lunch we went to a member’s house and she literally gave me enough food for 6 people. Like literally it could feed 6 people. And she said I have two rules in this house. You wash your hands and eat all the food I give you. So of course I ate all the food but I regretted it. After lunch we leave the members house to start working and I just say Hermana Fazakerley, I’m going to need a moment. So I walked over to the gutter and proceed to literally puke my guts out because of the food. Life is great. I’m thriving. We had intercambios this week. That means I switch companions for a day. I ended up going to parral and serving with Hermana Morales. We knocked doors with a member who wants to serve a mission. Another Hermana in the parral area had brown sugar because her mom sent it. btw brown sugar doesn’t exist here. neither does graham crackers so rip. January 6, 2020 Ok so we have two baptisms on Saturday and after toooons of convincing and teaching we finally got the mom to sign off on her kids’ baptisms. The mom is a returning member but had some doubts but we have been meeting with her and her family a lot and her kids are getting baptized! It will be my first two baptisms! We have a new investigator named Edmond and he is so interested in the church but he has a lot of doubts. We teach him a lot and he came to church and Sunday and really enjoyed it. we asked him if he wanted to be baptized but he is hesitant so we are still working really hard to teach him I am much better this week.
