Eating Chex Mix in the dark

February 22, 2021 I don't even know where to begin. This has been one of the craziest weeks of my mission. I guess I'll just go day by day. MONDAY: We got about 1/2 an inch of ice which completely shut down all of Texas. We were given stay at home order and we weren't allowed to drive or go anywhere. We were stuck in the apartment all day. We lost our water in the morning but thankfully we got it back by that night. TUESDAY: this is where things get crazy So a couple of pipes in our complex burst during the night and set off all of the complex fire alarms at 3A.M.!!!! Picture a school fire alarm and times that by 10x and that's the complex fire alarm. I'm terrible. Once I saw that it was 3 a.m. I went back to bed. I was like I better see the flames at my bed side for me to leave the apartment in 12 degree weather. Luckily it turned off and we were sent an email that it had been a couple of pipes bursting. Then the fire alarm went off again in the afternoon ...

February 15, 2021 Well today there is a snow storm here in Texas and we are currently without power or water. Its been a good morning. We have been banish to our apartments and we arent supposed to drive which means we cant go get our shopping done. This week was a very busy week! I kid you not we probably had about 15+ meetings this week. SInce we are STL's we are always on accountability calls and in meetings, plus we are apart of the Content Team! That means that we are in charge of everything that has to do with social media. we make videos, edit, quick posts, the ads and sooo much more. We are always in the office working on the computers and editing things. I've become an office missionary. Never thought I would become one but here we are. on the plus side we have our own personal laptops so it makes p-day so much easier. We had this dope service opportunity! Us and 4 other churches all got together for a food drive! It was really fun. We were basically putting ...

This is not Dulce de Leche

ebruary 8, 2021 Good morning everyone! I got transferred! I'm in an English area now as an STL! What! Yeah. It's crazy. My new comp is Sister Willits. She is from st. George and we are already having a blast quoting vines. Our apt does get mail so here is the address! 1901 waterside village dr. Apt #254 Richmond Tx. 77407 Our good friend Irma has a desire to be baptized! She comes to church every Sunday and loves the feeling she feels in sacrament. She is getting baptized on February 27th! Pray for her! She knows almost everything about the church so at this point we are helping her gain a testimony of Jesus Christ! We went to some spanish bakeries and I was disappointed. It's alright. I keep comparing everything to Chile and it's all better in Chile. We had a great lesson with some less-actives in our ward. We discussed Doctrine and Covenants and they are excited to started come follow me! So in their house they have their grandma, the parents and the...

A blast from the past

February 1, 2021 Hello everyone! How is everyone doing? This week was normal. We had mission president interviews and mine was like 5 minutes. Basically he was like "how are you doing?" "Can I help with anything?" and I was like "I'm good" and that was it.... that's all that was said. Oh I did meet some more Chilean Members and it was awesome! we talked about the things we loved about chile and things we missed. It was so fun talking to them. She told us how she makes desserts with manjar in it and so we are making manjar this week. (Manjar is like a chilean caramel) We went all the way out to Foster (about 40 minutes away) and did our weekly planning at a huge fishing pond. Our area is huge and Foster isn't even in the middle of our area. So to go from one end of our area to the other is about 2.5 hours. Our friend Leonardo has such a desire to learn more about the gospel and we started doing Book of Mormon studies with him. It...
