A blast from the past
February 1, 2021
Hello everyone! How is everyone doing? This week was normal.
We had mission president interviews and mine was like 5 minutes. Basically he was like "how are you doing?" "Can I help with anything?" and I was like "I'm good" and that was it.... that's all that was said.
Oh I did meet some more Chilean Members and it was awesome! we talked about the things we loved about chile and things we missed. It was so fun talking to them. She told us how she makes desserts with manjar in it and so we are making manjar this week. (Manjar is like a chilean caramel)
We went all the way out to Foster (about 40 minutes away) and did our weekly planning at a huge fishing pond. Our area is huge and Foster isn't even in the middle of our area. So to go from one end of our area to the other is about 2.5 hours.
Our friend Leonardo has such a desire to learn more about the gospel and we started doing Book of Mormon studies with him. It's been really fun!
Luis and Silvana are two friends that have recently discovered the church and they have so many questions! They accept all the answers with give them but its question after question so slowly but surely they will come to know the gospel of jesus christ!
We went to a couple spanish bakeries to try them out. (Chilean ones are better) We also went to a garage sale. There wasn't much there but the member we were with wanted to go so we went with her.
We met with Ross! ( a lady a while back who taught us how to salsa dance) and she is amazing! We started reading the bible with her. She has a lot of faith in Jesus Christ and she loves sharing her testimony with others.
Overall this week was very normal and not much happened.
I hope you are all doing well! Take care
