Covid baptisms!

Jun 29, 2020 Well it's happening! Greby is getting baptized this Saturday! Hes all ready and has such a desire to be baptized. Greby is 10 btw. Hes such a great kid. Hermana Jorgensen and I were sitting on our porch and I felt somthing dripping on me and when I look up I saw our upstairs neighbors spill a beer bottle and BEER was dripping on me....... I'm fine it's fine We play this game of what can I hide in my curly hair and so hair it's a deck of cards, a jojo siwa pen, a tennis ball, and some chapstick. Any ideas of what to try next? I'm really bored in quarantine. So I've really been hating this quarantine. Like a lot. And I was ranting to Hermana Jorgensen that I hate this quarantine and our area is dead and no on wants to talk to us and right then we recieved to referrals! They haven't answered our calls or texts but it's the thought that counts I finished the Book of Mormon this week and I wrote my testimony in the back and I plan on w...

The case of the missing package

June 22, 2020 The story starts three weeks ago when I first arrived to the mission. Sister Elgaans parents sent Sister Jorgensen a package as a surprise for her being on her last transfer but the package had the wrong address on it and it went missing. Sister elgann told us we were supposed to get a package on the 2nd of june and then it was the 18th and we still hadn't gotten it so we did some digging. We figured out which apartment it went to and we asked the dude at that apartment if he had seen it and he said he had but he left it in the mail office... but we had already checked the mail office and it wasn't there so we spent the next 40 minutes calling everyone and their dog trying to find this package. We didn't find it, but! The next day at lunch we get a call from the apartment office saying one of the workers there had pulled all the boxes out that had been there for a while and was going to send them back tosender and he happened to look through it and found the ...

When the going gets tough

June 15, 2020 This week was a little rough. Pretty much all of our lessons canceled on us so that was fun. We spent a lit of time looking and didn't find a lot. Hermana Jorgensen has been in this ward for 7 months so she knows a lot of people. One of the members we talk to a lot recently passed away and it was really hard on Hermana Jorgensen so that was rough. We got Greby to come to church! It's been hard to get greby to come to church and we finally had a call with him this past sunday! Miracles still happen. I went to whataburger this week. That was a highlight. I had a lot of trainings this week because I'm a transfer missionary so I haven't done a lot this week. My life is kinda boring in a good way? How is everyone? I'm doing great!

Everything's Bigger in Texas!

June 8, 2020 I'm here! I'm in Texas now! It's so humid here. I am in a Spanish ward in Houston so I get to speak Spanish which is amazing. My new comp is named Hermana Jorgensen and she is awesome. We like a lot of the same things. She has 17 months in her mission so I'll be her last companion. It’ll be sad to see her leave We have someone on date! His name is Greby and he is ten years old. Hermana Jorgensen has been teaching him for a while and he is very excited to be baptized. 7 months! I officially have completed 7 months in my mission. So far I've been in quarantine still. You can only call members so many times before they get annoyed with you so we are going a little stir crazy. We can only leave the house for food and service. We volunteer at a garden center where we pick weeds and trains things and such. It's such an amazing garden center. It's called Herman Park. Look it up. It's cool. It's just us two in our apartment so we ...
