HOME!!!

March 30, 2020 Well...... I’m home! After an hour flight to Santiago, staying the night in a hotel, then a 12 hour flight to Utah, I finally made it home. The Flight was the longest flight in the world! I was dying the entire time. I sat next to this cool Canadian missionary. We showed pictures and told stories from our missions. She served in Paraguay. We both have about 5 months in our missions so we both think we will get reassigned. In the Airport it was a mad house. I have never seen so many missionaries in one place. It was worse than the CCM (MTC). I was lucky to be one of the first missionaries through customs and one of the first missionaries to get all of their bags. It was hard to say goodbye to everyone. I’m so sad that I had to say goodbye. I got a bunch of their emails and I have already been emailing them. I kid you not when I say that I ran to my mom and dad. It was amazing to hug them again. I’m still a little jet lagged, Chile is about a 4ish hour differen...

coming home

March 23, 2020 Well I'm coming home for two weeks and then being reassigned to somewhere in the states. Currently depressed and I've been crying for the past 48 hours ish since we got the news that we are leaving Chile. Well thats all I know. I don't know when I am leaving or anything like that. Hope y'all are good. I'm not good. Not gonna lie.

Corona Virus

March 16, 2020 lol What a meme. That’s a joke. We actually take it really seriously here but at the same time it’s a meme. Well there weren't any protests this week so we could work like normal. We got a letter from the mission president saying we have to stock up of food and they sent a huge list of food to buy so rip we spent like 3 hours shopping for food because it was so much food. We had to call a member to bring their car and help us drive the food back to the apartment. I was sick this Sunday. I have a sore throat and everything hurts and I’m coughing so I have coronavirus. The mission president told me I’m not allowed to leave the house so rip rip ripr pripr p. So that’s my life right now. I'm actually doing better right now and I was allowed to leave today. I played Chile monopoly and I won so take that Hermana Arnold. We taught Alfred the Word of Wisdom at a member’s house and we were explaining that we don't drink coffee and the members are like yeah we d...

protests, corona virus, and cambios oh my!

March 9, 2020 Well this week was cambios. I’m still in Collao with Hermana Arnold. We finally were able to put a baptism date again with Augustina so we now have two people with baptism dates. Alfred and Augustina. Fun fact. I’m learning creole with Alfred so woot woot. Rosa and Maria are doing really well. We are hoping to put a baptism date with them sometime soon. Slowly but surely This week was the beginning of protests. It was really hard to have curfews at like 6 or 7 at night instead of 9:30. I’m safe don’t worry. It’s the missionaries in Santiago and in Concepcion that you should worry about. The protests there are really bad. Here we have just a bunch of fires and blockades and a bunch of high drunk college students. The Corona Virus is in Chile now. A doctor brought the corona virus to Chile. Oh my goodness. I’m fine but we get random scary emails from the mission president about washings hands and not getting sick. Well that’s about all I’ve got. I’m doing really ...

March 2, 2020 When you think you’ve hit rock bottom, you can only go up right... wrong. I can’t remember my favorite lines from the Grinch. I’m devastated. It was terrible. I was quoting the Grinch because the moment was right and I couldn’t remember the quote and now I eat brownies to drown my sorrows. IM NOT ACTUALLY SAD IM OK. This week was really good! Here is the update with our investigators. Augastina her baptism fell through because her mom has to keep working on her baptism it's very hard to get in contact with her mom. Augastina is a 9 year old girl who is very good! Alfred BAPTISM DATE! We taught Alfred about baptism after church this Sunday and he wants to get baptized! He is very excited. April 11th. We know it is very far out but there is a language barrier. He can only speak creole, French and a little Spanish so it takes a bit to explain everything and we want to make sure he understands everything. Alfred is like a 6’5” hatiano with literally the biggest he...
