Burgundy Ties and Weddings

March 29, 2021 Hola! This week was a fast one! Time is really flying by! Hna Ralphs (my real companion) doesn't have covid but she is still really sick so I've been with Hna Barton (a temporary but still awesome companion) for the entire week. Hna Barton and I actually have a lot in common. We both swim! She's from Herriman and competed many times against Skyridge in swim meets so we probably swam against each other! what! thats crazy. This week we officially started volunteering at a horse ranch. We will go and take care of the horses and walk them around. No worries, we aren't riding the horses. They are very particular about cellphones and they don't like to have them out so I don't actually have any photos of the horse place so you will just have to trust me that it is awesome. This Week the Pecan Grove ward elders had a wedding for some friends of theirs. They are a bike area so when they were asked to go get ties to go with the wedding colors, ...

March 22, 2021 Hello everyone! It’s official! I’ve started the last 6 weeks of my misson! What! yep that’s crazy! So on Sunday we received transfer news and Sister Willits is going to the Silver Lake area and Hermana Ralphs is my new Companion! I know nothing about her so I'll have more info on that next week. *update since writing this email* SO turns out Hna Ralphs got exposed to covid so depending on how her covid test goes tomorrow, I'll be with Hermana Barton for either a couple days, or a couple of weeks. This is going to be fun! This week was great! I tried crab for the first time, not a fan but it was fun to try. Our Zone leaders came to our district council and brought us brownies. The brownies were actually homemade brownies but they didn't have any cocoa powder so they used hot cocoa mix instead! yep, they were some interesting brownies. A while ago in served in the Houston 2nd ward where I baptized a sweet young lady named Paola. Well, at the same...

March 15, 2021 Good Morning Y'all! I hope you are doing well. Here are some of the highlights from my week! We went to a Mexican Restaurant called Las Mananitas. Y'all these were the best fajitas I have ever had. We went to another Mexican Restaurant later on in the week called Pablos and a member paid for our food! FREE TACOS! Then later on during the week again I went to a Taco Truck and got some of the best Chicken Tacos. Overall it was a good week for Mexican food. On Friday I went on exchanges with Hermana Grimes! Since being in an English area, I have missed speaking Spanish so much. We went to a lesson at our friend Ani's house. Turns out it was her daughter Emily's Birthday that day! So after the lesson we sang happy birthday and had some cake! Well, while we were singing Happy Birthday, Emily turned her head and HER HAIR WENT INTO THE CANDLES. so because of that, HER HAIR CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! Well, I was the ONLY one that saw her hair on so I ran over so...

March 8, 2021 Hello everyone! I hope you had a great week. This past Monday we went bowling as a District and I bowled a 128. woot woot! I think that's good. Not sure. One of the Elders in my District is a professional bowler and destroyed all of us. This week was a week of trying and learning new things. I got to try kombucha and JackFruit this week. Both were very interesting. I also learned how to make vegan chocolate chip cookies. Those were actually really good. I still like the normal ones better but they were good. Since being on the content team I have learned how to edit and make videos. I edited my first video! I mean it's not professional done but it looks pretty gosh darn good. We had exchanges this week and I went with Hermana Lister (my old companion) to Houston 4! (my old area) It was so fun to see everyone again. I was so happy to be speaking spanish again. I hit 16 months this week! wow! only 2 more to go. Time really has flown by. What I lov...

March 21, 2021 Good Morning everyone! This was a busy week! We had Zone Conference! As a Sister Training Leader, I had to lead one of the Breakouts we did and let me tell you, I was so nervous but it went well! We had exchanges this week and I led our area. Rip it was hard but we did it! the thing that made it hard was both of our phones decided to stop working that day so we couldn't call or text anyone. We had a Mission Wide event called "A day of Love and Service" It went great! we basically did a bunch of yard work but service is service. I spent the day digging up dead plants from the freeze. I am sooo sore now from it. We spent the entire day digging and driving from house to house. We were able to help out at the Attack Poverty Food Drive! It was such an amazing experience! We loaded up cars with food, water and a hot meal and then sent them on their way. I was able to work with some of the coolest people ever. One of them was named Bill! two days a...
