Maria's Baptism

March 22, 2021
Hello everyone!
It’s official! I’ve started the last 6 weeks of my misson! What! yep that’s crazy! So on Sunday we received transfer news and Sister Willits is going to the Silver Lake area and Hermana Ralphs is my new Companion! I know nothing about her so I'll have more info on that next week. *update since writing this email* SO turns out Hna Ralphs got exposed to covid so depending on how her covid test goes tomorrow, I'll be with Hermana Barton for either a couple days, or a couple of weeks. This is going to be fun!
This week was great!
I tried crab for the first time, not a fan but it was fun to try.
Our Zone leaders came to our district council and brought us brownies. The brownies were actually homemade brownies but they didn't have any cocoa powder so they used hot cocoa mix instead! yep, they were some interesting brownies.
A while ago in served in the Houston 2nd ward where I baptized a sweet young lady named Paola. Well, at the same time I was also teaching her mom and this weekend she got baptized! She said she felt so clean coming out of the water and that she was so happy to be baptized! I am so grateful that I was able to drive back up to Houston to see her baptism. I loved being able to watch her testimony grow of Jesus Christ and of his Atonement. She has changed so much since coming to know the gospel. Its just amazing!
Overall this was a pretty normal week. It's spring break here in Texas so no one is in town which means that no one wanted to talk to us. Thats alright. That happens sometimes.
I hope everyone is doing well!
