December 30, 2019 Picture this. This is how my week went. all four of us hermanas are sick. Hermana Fazakerley has strep, I have a cold and the doctor said I might have a sinus infection, Hermana Arnold is sick with something and is literally on 10 different medicines, and Hermana McCoy is getting strep, our dryer broke, our gas broke so we can’t cook and we have no hot water, our beds broke so now we all sleep on the floor, we have no money because we had to take taxis everywhere for different meetings and lessons, we have no food because we are out of money so we are living off of the peanut butter and jelly I got for Christmas and I happened to buy some bread the week before, our neighbor smokes so everything smells like smoke, its hotter than heck here and we don’t have fans so rip rip rip. i could fill a small pool with how much I sweat. December 24, 2019 Welp, I made it! it's been a journey but I’m finally in Chile. The flights here were so long and boring. I tried to sleep on the flight but couldn't so I ended up being awake for 36 hours. I hate my life decisions. We were greeted at the airport by the mission president and a bunch of other missionaries. We went to the mission office and had some classes. I don’t know what about because I was sorta asleep during it. They were like how have you guys not fallen asleep yet and I’m like practice from binge watching Netflix 24/7 lol that was a joke mom. They gave us dominoes for dinner and I cried. I hadn't had real food in a month and a half and it tasted so good. We then got to go to the temple. The Concepcion temple is so beautiful. I love it. We them go assigned our companions and headed out into the field. My companion is Hermana Fizakerly. I hope that's how you spell it. Idk. She really cool and really nice. I got really lucky. December 16, 2019 I leave today so woot woot. so nothing has changed since thursday so i'm just going to attach a crap load of photos and tell the stories behind them. I said goodbye to everyone and I'm super sad now but i'm excited to serve the people of Chile. Well that's about all I've got so see ya next week! I'll have tons to write next week. December 12, 2019 So I finally got my flight plans. I leave the CCM at around 1 in the afternoon. My flight is at 7:30 at night. Then it is a 9 hour flight to Santiago and then a 5 hour layover and then a 2 hour flight to Concepcion. I am going to be so tired when I get to Chile, but pray for me because I am sooooo nervous and scared for Chile. So during volleyball, this elder hit the volleyball wrong and dislocated his shoulder. I almost threw up. His arm was just hanging there (sorry for the visual) and it was soooo gross. bleeeeeehhh. This week we invited our fake investigator to be baptized. It was really hard to invite them but the spirit was so strong and our investigator would pray about it. We got to go to the temple this p-day. I did endowments in Spanish. I know so much Spanish! December 5, 2019 So I’m known here for being super clumsy. Like super clumsy, and some elders literally won’t let me hold anything cuz I trip all the time or fall all the time or drop things on accident all the time and once at dinner I was grabbing a knife and I accidentally threw it across the room and as it was flying. I CAUGHT IT. And I was like looking around to see who saw me catch this flying knife and this elder is just staring at me dumbfounded and then just screams THAT WAS AWESOME! It was like that one scene in Incredibles where that little kid yells THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED. yeah, I felt pretty cool. Another funny clumsy story was I was literally just walking down the hall and for some reason my ankle gave out on me and I just like face planted and some elders just turn around and stare at me and I just laid there on the floor.
