Picture this. This is how my week went. all four of us hermanas are sick. Hermana Fazakerley has strep, I have a cold and the doctor said I might have a sinus infection, Hermana Arnold is sick with something and is literally on 10 different medicines, and Hermana McCoy is getting strep, our dryer broke, our gas broke so we can’t cook and we have no hot water, our beds broke so now we all sleep on the floor, we have no money because we had to take taxis everywhere for different meetings and lessons, we have no food because we are out of money so we are living off of the peanut butter and jelly I got for Christmas and I happened to buy some bread the week before, our neighbor smokes so everything smells like smoke, its hotter than heck here and we don’t have fans so rip rip rip. i could fill a small pool with how much I sweat. It’s been a long week
Merry Christmas! What did everyone do?? It didn’t feel like Christmas here because it’s so hot here. They celebrate Christmas eve here more than Christmas so for Christmas eve we ate at the branch presidents house with some other members and they all opened presents. They actually got us Hermanas a present. They got us these little mugs and I love it! I use it all the time. For Christmas we weren’t having any luck finding people to teach so we just got some other elders and hung out with them and practiced teaching. For Christmas dinner I ate fries and nuggets and played clue.
I’ve been sooo sick this whole week and Hermana Fazakerly is in worse shape than I am so we haven’t been out this week a lot. One day when everyone was sick, Hermana Fazakerly and Hermana McCoy slept for 6 hours and it was just Hermana Arnold and I and we spent the day playing games and making dumb videos and we ate an entire tub of ice cream. I’m sorry mom, I ate an entire tub of ice cream while sick with almost a sinus infection. I can’t adult. I’m not ready. haha
Ok for a spiritual thought now. we taught two of our interested people about the word of wisdom and the law of chastity. It was hard to teach them about it because they aren’t married and they live together. It was awkward at some points but the holy ghost was softening their hearts and they were willing to hear what we had to say. Moroni 10:5 by the power of the holy ghost, ye may know the truth of all things.
well hope everyone is doing well! I’m dying but hey that’s ok.
Lo siento I forgot to write this. We ran into 3 Hatians on the street and started teaching them and they were really receptive but they dont know spanish or english and we offered to teach them english and they were like yeah! So now I teach 3 Haitians English Tuesday nights at 7. Idk how but im doing it. We also teach the about the gospel and they teach us creol so hopefully by the end of my mission I will know spanish and creol. Thats right. Creol. woot woot ok thats all.
