Training!
July 20, 2020
Training here in Texas is WAAAAYYYYY different than my training in Chile. We easily have 1 or 2 two hour training a day I swear. It seems like we are always in a meeting with either the mission president or the assistants to the president. It's a lot of meetings! We pay attention I swear but we definitely doodle a lot during them.
I got the office job of posting on our Facebook's page story everyday! So if you want to see something uplifting and fun follow us as Seguidores de Jesucristo en el Oeste de Houston. I'll put something new up usually around 8:30 Texas Time.
This week we volunteered at the Japanese gardens and we gave someone a book of mormon there! We were pulling weeds and this lady walks by talking to some kids in spanish so I start a conversation with her in spanish and it took off from there! She was very interested in learning more but she was moving and such so we gave her our information and hopefully she reaches out. long story short we couldn't get her number but that's ok. The seed was planted.
Oh I tried to make fries and it went terrible...... like very terrible.......... so if anyone has any fun recipes that are easy I would love them haha.
A member ordered us pizza and we didn't know until we got a call from papa John's saying our pizza was here so we went outside and it was pouring rain and we had to run through the apartment complex trying to find the pizza delivery guy and us and our pizza got soaked but it was still good.
My new comp is named Hermana Eagar. She is from Flagstaff Arizona. She was originally assigned to Argentina but halfway through the MTC she got changed to the Texas Houston south mission. She's amazing and we get along great!
We had a Devotional this past sunday about how to use our time wisely, as we are tried and tested right now, especially during covid, our motivation tends to go out the window but that's was the adversary wants. He wants us to be distracted from our work and the opportunities we have to share the gospel. I know that as we read our scriptures and pray and follow Christ, we will be ready to share our light when the opportunity comes and we won't miss our chance to help people come unto christ. I'm so thankful that I get to train because I get to share my light with my new Comp!
How is everyone doing? I hope y'all are doing well.
