Cockroach and Mouses Massacre

September 7, 2020
SIT DOWN ITS STORY TIME NOW. Grab a snack or something sorry in advance this is long but worth it
Now that everyones ready let's begin. Its starts off at the japanese gardens that we volunteer at and help with gardening. When we get there we were the only volunteers to show up. Normally there are 8 or 9 of us. Dianna and Barbara are the main people that run the japanese gardens
They had us organizing the tools sheds and gardening supplies. We were supposed to move piles of wood into some barrels to make some more room and make it looked nice. Dianna warned us that there might be cockroaches or ants in the wood so kick the wood first just to be safe.
Pile 1. Nothing. We kicked it and nothing so we easily moved them and cleaned up.
Pile 2. We kicked it and a couple cockroaches came out and hundreds of ants came put so we got Dianna and she put some ant killer everywhere. We left pile 2 alone for a bit
Pile 3. Pile 3 was in a barrel already but we needed to clean out the barrel and organize the wood by what was usable. So hna eagar and I knew that bugs were inside so we carefully took out wood pieces one by one. We saw tons of cockroaches moving around and such but we pushed through out gag reflexes and continued cleaning.
This is where crap hit the fan.
I'm taking out some wood and I hear rustling in the barrel and a HUGE RAT RUNS OUT OF THE BARREL. I scream RAAAATTT RUUUUUUNNN and Hna eagar and I take running for our lives. Dianna comes over and is like WHAT!?? and Barbara is sooo pale now. Barbara is having a hard time with the thought of rats being close. So Dianna goes over to the wood piles and checks and she's like "oh it's just a mouse, but it's a fetching huge mouse." Then she screams and is like "THERES 4 OF THEM!! And Dianna is freaking out and idk where Barbara went. She was outta there so fast.
Haha ok so I saw the mice running and I screamed look at all those mouses! And hna eagar just goes with a straight face.... mice.... and we all died laughing. Barbara was like look at all those mousen. That's a good group of mousen. It was a good laugh to ease the tension of the situation hahah.
This is where crap hits the fan pt 2
Dianna TIPS OVER THE BARREL!!! and out comes an unholy amount of cockroaches. For like 5 minutes we are all screaming and killing cockroaches. Like normally when around adults and you scream they are like why are you screaming? But Dianna was screaming with us! She's like 65 and this little short 4 foot old lady and she's screaming with us!
She put tons of organic bug killer everywhere! (Safe for us, harmful to bugs) it was like snow. We probably killed like 40 cockroaches in that barrel
You thought the story was over? You're wrong.
We finished cleaning the barrel after turning it upside down and banging on it together all the cockroaches out. It was pretty fun.
Then we had to reorganize all the plant crates we pick up a pile of crates and dropped it just to safe of what was inside. When we dropped it A BALL OF COCKROACHES FELL OUT!! I dont even know how many were in the one crate! This is where all heck broke loose. The cockroaches STARTED FLYING!!! what kind of Demon bug flies???? So literally all of us are screaming, ducking, jumping, running, swatting, and stomping. One landed on Diannas back and ran onto her face and I ran over and SMACK IT OFF!! literally after I was like fetch what did I just do.... Dianna are you ok!!!??? I just smacked you in the face!! She was dying laughing. She said it didnt hurt and that she was glad I got it off her.
Barbara came back from who knows where and was dying laughing at us. She was like I'm only laughing because I'm not over ther 😂😂
We had two more crate piles after that first one... so guess what we did!??? The exact same thing! We dropped the crates and ran for our fetching lives. We probably killed over 200 ish cockroaches. I wish I was kidding or even exaggerating but I'm not. 🤢🤮
Then when all was said and done and the battle was won a rabbit come up to us and we got to feed it! It was a good ending to a living nightmare.
This was all in the span of 2 hours.
One last thing! We put Paola on date! She is so excited to be baptized on October 1st! She has already told all her coworkers and friends!
Times may seem crazy and even scary but joy can be found in everything! I probably screamed more than I ever have in the span of those 2 hours but we made some new friends at the gardens and they opened up to us about their lives and what they believe and that wouldn't have been possible if we hadn't just screamed over mice and cockroaches! I know that miracles will always happen. I'm so thankful for my Savior and the trials that I have in my life to help me and make me grow!
